Biography

David William Gremillion was born on January 16, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. From an early age, David enjoyed being a “geek”. His Saturday mornings were spent with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, watching GI Joe fight Cobra, and being drawn in the epic fights between Optimus Prime and Megatron. He would recreate battles using legos or defending his living room couch from the Legion of Doom.  He well remembers the privilege of staying up late on Saturday nights to watch the latest episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

David was in the marching band in high school and in college, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Texas State University and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from San Antonio College. He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1998-2004.

David started “Get Your Geek On” in late 2013 as a podcast in his dining room. His personality and quick wit helped the show grow to become one of the most popular shows on “Channel 1138”. He was able to land guests such as James Arnold Taylor, Vanessa Marshall, and had a “tell all” interview with Jake Matthew Lloyd.

After a brief hiatus, David decided to take the show to a more evolved level. He reached out to various radio stations in the San Antonio area and landed on 930 AM KLUP “The Answer” and airs on 11pm Saturday nights. The show aired in June of 2016 and quickly took off. Within less than two months, the show’s archive became the most listened to local podcast on the entire station (the record still holds). His guest list expanded to include Taylor Gray, Jeremy Bulloch, Amy Jo Johnson, Pat Proft, Devin Nash, and more. His use of broadcasting while using Facebook Live and Twitch has netted him a much larger audience.

David met his wife, Elizabeth in “the worst English class ever” in 2000 and were married in 2003. He enjoys swimming, being outdoors, and firing up “Darth Grill” for some barbecue.
